Agenda for Change
Under Agenda for Change all NHS staff except doctors, dentists and
senior managers come under a common pay spine. Staff are paid according
to the demands of their post on the principle of equal pay for equal
value, determined by job evaluation.
A Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) has been developed for the NHS workforce, and all staff should have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills along a skills escalator - a flexible pathway through the KSF. Each dimension of the KSF has four levels and the Skills for Health National Occupational Standards have been mapped to KSF levels.For further information see:
